20 New 2017 Orlando Attractions

Ready to see what 2017 has in store for you, Orlando lovers? How about brand new thrill rides that break world records and defy the laws of gravity? How about insane new water parks that provide recreation like never before,  or even mind-blowing high-tech hotels that make everything smoother, from checking in to opening your room door.

There are several new kid-friendly eateries and resorts, plus a few parent-friendly, adults-only eateries! So bring your family, your neighbors, and your coworkers and have the time of your life in Orlando this year!

  1. Volcano Bay
    Universal Orlando Resort
    This new high-tech water park is set to open June 1st and will feature new innovations combating the hassles of long lines and tube acquiring!


  2. Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon
    Universal Orlando Resort
    This new attraction will allow guests of the park to become guests of a studio audience, on that races through the streets of NYC with Jimmy himself!


  3. Pandora: World of AVATAR
    Disney Animal Kingdom
    This will go down as the largest expansion in the park’s history, an exciting new region featuring floating mountains, bioluminescent rainforest features, and even new after-dark entertainment options.


  4. Miss Fortune Falls
    Disney Typhoon Falls
    Ride in a new family style raft through what is being considered one of the absolute lengthiest rides in Florida, the entire water adventure lasting about two full minutes.


  5. Kraken
    SeaWorld Orlando
    Make way for the new and improved 2017 Kraken, Florida’s only virtual reality rollercoaster experience that will take you on a deep sea mission!


  6. Electric Ocean
    SeaWorld Orlando
    The summer of 2017  will see SeaWorld’s new ‘end of the day spectacular’ opening this year as well, another exciting bioluminescent feature for the park’s growing collection.


  7. Ninjago World
    LEGOLAND Florida Resort
    Expected to be finished early 2017, Ninjago world will provide an immersive and interactive ‘dark ride’ experience for guests!


  8. Delaney Hotel
    Downtown Orlando
    Remote check-ins, tablet-based concierge service, and smartphone room keys will greet guests in the late spring of 2017, an excellent, and really high tech, addition to the exciting downtown scene.


  9. Margaritaville
    Waterfront
    The new Margaritaville could be considered a city in of itself once complete late 2017, the waterfront property expected to have 181 rooms, 1,000 vacation homes, and 300 timeshares onsite. Not only that, but it will also have it’s own dining and entertainment district, plus a 12-acre waterpark.

    Disney Springs
    A new 1920’s era-themed eatery will be added to Disney Springs this year, offering Edison-inspired eats and entertainment.


  11. Planet Hollywood Guy Fieri
    Disney Springs
    This new Planet Hollywood spot will feature a Guy Fieri Sandwich Menu, something both the kids and the parents can agree on during their visit!


  12. Wine Bar George
    Disney Springs
    This one is for all the tired moms and chaperones out there who need a vacation from their vacation. Wine Bar George will offer any white or red delights you desire!


  13. Circo Orlando
    IDrive
    This is another newly planned Orlando eatery, an IDrive addition that will provide guests with high-end Italian cuisine and even excellent rooftop views of the Orlando skyline.


  14. Andretti Indoor Karts
    Universal Boulevard
    Spring 2017 will bring a different type of amusement outside of Disney, an indoor kart arena providing high-speed electronic super karts, a two-level track, over 120 arcade games, a rock wall, and even a zip line.


  15. Top Golf Orlando
    Universal Boulevard
    This feature is for all the tired dads and other chaperones out there who also need a vacation-vacation. Head to this new golf center and enjoy over 100 climate controlling ‘hitting bays’ with advanced technology to help track your accuracy.


  16. Orlando City Soccer Stadium
    Downtown Orlando
    This currently under-construction soccer stadium will serve as the new home for the beloved Orlando City SC and it’s National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) sister club, the Orlando Pride.


  17. NFL Pro Bowl
    Camping World Stadium
    Guests can watch all their favorite NFL greats from this season duke it out on the field at Orlando’s Camping World Stadium in January 2017.


  18. LEGOLAND Beach Retreat

    This new Beach Retreat is the first of it’s kind for the LEGOLAND brand and will provide eager lego-lovers a ‘village-style’ resort with 83 bungalows offering 166 rooms!


  19. SKYPLEX Orlando - 2018
    I Drive
    2018 in Orlando is already looking to bring more thrills than you can handle, beginning with the opening of the IDrive insane SKYPLEX. This entertainment complex will break records with its 570-foot structure housing the new ‘world’s tallest roller coaster’. There will also be an observation deck, lounge, and eatery at the top, plus a second ride ‘Skyfall’. Skyfall will be the world’s tallest drop ride on opening.
