Day
1

Universal Studios - One of the best ways to be welcomed properly to the city of Orlando? A trip to Universal Studios, of course! Here at the iconic Florida and California theme park you will be able to step inside your favorite movies and TV shows and visit the sets, or worlds, you love to watch on the big screen. Visit to Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade, meet the minions of Despicable Me, or experience the 3D interactive Transformers battle ride. There are several options for younger children, such as the many different Disney themed playgrounds, as well as many options for adults, such as live shows, shopping, dining, and a great nightlife. You can stop by Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville before seeing the Blue Man Group live, or maybe just go shopping at the Jurassic Park Outfitters store. Whatever you decide to do here you are bound to have a really excellent time, this being the perfect place to enjoy your Florida vacation the right way! Be sure to bring your camera, wear comfortable shoes, and drink plenty of water throughout the day!

Universal CityWalk - While at Universal Studios you will have to check out the onsite Universal CityWalk, the ultra-popular city within a park that is considered to be the Entertainment Capitol of the Theme Park Capitol of the world! This is the premier spot to grab a bite to eat, see a concert or live show, dance the night away, or relax in a movie theater, all in one place! The 30-acre complex is the ideal destination for large groups, a family fun night, or just to relax and hang out with your travel buddies. The outstanding food, cinemas, shops, and variety of special events draw a large crowd of visitors year round, as you will likely see for yourself. Our suggestion? Grab a classic burger from Hard Rock Cafe, a drink from Margaritaville, then experience the eclectic, humorous, and extremely interesting art of the Blue Man Group live!  Universal Studios

Day

Islands of Adventure - Rise and shine to another one of Orlando’s biggest attractions, the always exciting and entertaining Islands of Adventure. This is the theme park in Florida in which you can embark on unforgettable expeditions with cutting edge rides to it’s sister park's (Universal Studios) attractions. Ride through the Jurassic Park River Adventure, Doctor Doom’s Fearfall, or Harry Potter’s Forbidden Journey while here, or maybe just enjoy all the different interactive attractions that bring your favorite myths, stories, and cartoons to life. Be sure to save plenty of time here today to discover all seven of the parks uniquely-themed islands, and also be sure to grab a bite to eat at any of the great on-location eateries, the restaurant Mythos earning ‘Best Theme Park Restaurant on the Planet!’ It’s no wonder this park was voted ‘Best Theme Park’ in 2010 and 2011!

iFly - If you are like us and have always wanted to go skydiving but have been too afraid of heights then have no fear, iFly Orlando is here to catch you with their wildly popular indoor skydiving facility. iFly allows you to experience the thrill of free-fall without the actual danger of jumping out of an airplane! Hop on in the 1000 hp wind tunnel, which creates a cushion of air on which you float the same as you would in traditional skydiving, and enjoy worry free weightlessness! There is practically no age limit, with programs accommodating ages 3 to 103, the low risk facility insuring that you have the most memorable and safe experience possible during your visit. The best thing? You don’t have to actually jump out of a plane yet you still get to fly like a superhero, flip like an acrobat, and soar above the ground like a pro! The entire program lasts roughly around an hour and of course includes safety training and trainer assistance.Roller Coaster at Islands of Adventure

Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament - Tonight you’ll head out to Kissimmee Castle for dinner and a show with the Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament, the equivalent of traveling back in time to medieval Spain for entertainment and vittles! Park employees here at this European castle portray characters with unique backstories and personalities, including such people as King Don Carlos, Princess Catalina, and the royal court of lords and ladies! This establishment opened its drawbridge to the public in 1983, today having a sort of landmark reputation in Orlando. Enjoy a delicious and lively dinner while you cheer on your favorite knight in jousting or sword fighting competitions, watch the court proceedings and surrounding drama, and marvel at the thrill of an 11th century story. Feel free to explore the village, so to speak, in between acts and meal courses, as well!

Cocoa Beach

Kennedy Space Center - Today you will travel about an hour east to Cocoa Beach on the coast to experience ‘Florida’s Space Coast’. First stop, the Kennedy Space Center, the authentic space history and exhibition center that allows you to be a kid again and explore the mysteries of space. Here you and your group can explore several different expertly engineered exhibits and presentations, get up-close with the space shuttle Atlantis, and have lunch with an astronaut! You can hop in the space shuttle launch simulator to feel what it would be like to rocket off of earth, or visit the Rocket Garden and see real and replicated rockets from the past, the tallest at 110 feet high! Watch a 3D movie about space at the IMAX, check out the Astronaut Hall of Fame, or just take a bus tour of the entire complex before you go, whatever you do surely won’t disappoint!

Cocoa Beach - Of course you can’t come to Florida without hitting the sand and surf at least once, which is why we’ve included Cocoa Beach itself on today’s itinerary. This is the perfect sunshine filled spot to enjoy a really fun day at the beach, one of the only places around here where you can witness a space launch with your toes in the water or watch a rare animal species splash back into the water. Splash around the warm tropical ocean, hop in a kayak to explore the islands, enjoy a 27-hole golf course, cast from the shore for a fresh dinner, surf the day away, or just dig your toes into the soft, hot sand! You may easily spot a playful dolphin or migrating whale in this, the ‘surfing capitol of the East Coast’, truly the perfect spot for perfect weather and perfect beach day activities! P.S. Remember that Cocoa Beach is called thus for a reason, don’t forget your sunscreen so you don’t find yourself too ‘Cocoa’ brown at the end of the day!

Orlando Eye - One essential thing to do before leaving Orlando is to give it’s massive iconic Ferris Wheel a spin! The Orlando Eye is one of the newest and most thrilling attractions in central Florida, one of the largest observation wheels on the East Coast, standing at an impressive 400 feet. There is truly no better way to see the layout and scenery of the surrounding city than with a panoramic bird's eye view from the top of the mega wheel, the entire contraption an obvious counterpart to its London sister wheel. You will be able to see the bright lights and dark bayous of Florida from the top, as well as take in one of the best sunset views in the entire state (be sure to charge your camera up for this one). At night this attraction is lit up with bright neon colors, a popular light show that shows off it’s Floridian roots in style!jr_epcot_384
