You’ll wander West Side Market, visit the iconic Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and other world-class cultural attractions, enjoy a wonderful regional production at the Cleveland Playhouse, and explore the best of the Sixth City’s landmarks from aboard the Goodtime III Excursion Ship.

The first stop on your exciting 3 Day Sixth City adventure is the West Side Market, Cleveland’s oldest public market, designated one of Ten Great Public Places in America in 2008, and the place you’ll discover every good thing under the sun in an authentic, culturally diverse and absolutely tantalizing shopping experience! You’ll find Incredible baked goods, sweets to die for, gorgeous cut flowers, local bee products, a world of nuts, spices, and condiments, amazing produce, fresh dairy, juices, fish and meats, small-batch organic and fair trade coffees, galaxies of artisanal cheeses, fabulous seafood, hot tamales, steamy pierogis, perfect pastas and more – all waiting just for you at West Side Market!
Greater Cleveland Aquarium
You and your students are off to the conservation-minded Greater Cleveland Aquarium - a magical, 70,000 square foot entryway to a fantastically fun educational excursion that will whisk you around the world on an exciting eco-adventure through Australia, South America, Africa, and the Indo-Pacific - without ever leaving town! In this wonderfully-repurposed historic brick building, you’ll encounter creatures found in the lakes and rivers of Ohio and discover exotic life native to the waters of the Red Sea, Eastern Asia, Indonesia, Fiji, and Hawaii. You’ll meet the animals, and learn how they are cared for, when and what they eat and the personalities each have developed during their time at the Aquarium. Who would think a Giant Pacific Octopus would be one of the most intelligent creatures you’ll ever encounter? Would you like to touch a baby shark, a stingray or an African Spurred Tortoise? Are you brave enough to enter the 175-foot long Shark Sea Tube? Do you know it actually takes 600 years for fishing line – a deadly snare for aquatic life when left behind - to decompose? Hey, there- look UP and marvel at the mesmerizing and mysterious Moon Jelly exhibit – a beautiful water world housing these delicate, dancing predators creatively showcased in an old brick smokestack!
Great Lakes Science Center
Get up to your eyebrows in hands-on, intellects-engaged, full-speed ahead family fun at Great Lakes Science Center! Check out hundreds of delightful interactive exhibits, visit the NASA Glenn Visitor Center, dive right into a six-story Cleveland Clinic OMNIMAX® Theater experience, hop a historic Great Lakes freighter and marvel at science demonstrations performed right before your eyes at this unbelievable amusement park for the mind! Ponder the science of light, optics, sound, resonance, motion, mechanics, electricity, magnetism and weather. Witness amazing and entertaining daily science demonstrations presented by Science Center staff; “touch” The Indoor Tornado, stand on The Bridge of Fire, make music with the PVC Chorus and so much more! Everyone knows hours of intense exploration and experimentation can fire up a pretty hearty appetite; stop by The Café, located on the lower level of Great Lakes Science Center for fabulous fresh-baked pizzas, sandwiches, hearty soups and seasonal salads served up with spectacular views of North Coast Harbor!
Cleveland Play House
Cleveland Playhouse, America’s flagship regional theatre, is eagerly looking toward its Centennial in 2015! Play House guests enjoy a diverse repertoire of consistently high-quality, entertaining productions worthy of a premier American regional venue. Over the theater’s 99 year history, millions of people have attended more than 1,300 productions, with notable premieres including works by Tennessee Williams, Bertolt Brecht, Brian Friel, William Saroyan, David Storey, and Arthur Miller.

Cleveland Museum of Art
The Cleveland Museum of Art was founded in 1913 “for the benefit of all the people, forever.” You and your students will kick off Day Two of your 3 Day Cleveland Tour with a trip to one of the world’s most distinguished comprehensive art museums – an absolutely immersive, life-altering experience that will leave your young charges with an appreciation of the world of fine art and even the jaded aficionado with a delightfully refreshed perception of the rote “art museum” experience. The Cleveland Art Museum’s magnificent multi-discipline collections, ever-changing exhibitions, presentations, and special programs ensure something for student groups of every age. The Collection Wall - the largest multi-touch screen in the United States— is a 40-foot, interactive, microtile wall presenting over 4,100 works of art from the permanent collection, most of which are on view in the museum’s galleries. The display changes every 40 seconds, facilitating vital discovery and dialogue among visiting groups and serving as a unique orientation tool while enabling guests to connect with objects in the collection in a playful and innovative way.
Cleveland Museum of Natural History
The curator of the Museum of Natural History has recently discovered 19 new species of praying mantis! What will YOU and the young inquiring minds traveling with you discover at this beloved Cleveland institution? The moment you walk through the doors you’ll become a part of a fantastic tradition of science and exploration nearly 100 years in the making. A perfect place for families and children to browse and learn together, the Museum is also a recognized center for world-class scientific research. Play a hooting, tweeting “bird-song” piano or channel your inner paleontologist as you dig for dinosaur bones and examine a mega-collection of nearly 65,000 individual cataloged invertebrate fossil specimens unearthed from the shale of Northeastern Ohio. Encounter The Buckeye State’s wild animals in “homes” designed to resemble their natural habitats and break brush beneath a canopy of tulip, oak, beech, and maple trees as you explore indigenous communities—swamp forest, shrub forest, fossil, and sand ridge, rich mixed forest, emergent marsh, and buckeye opening – in the Ralph Perkins II Wildlife Center and Wood Garden.
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
You really can’t visit Cleveland without a stop at this hallowed home of all things rock and roll! The hottest stories and biggest names shine on forever at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum situated on the shores of beautiful Lake Erie in Cleveland; to date, this iconic landmark institution has welcomed more than eight million guests. Showcasing an astonishing permanent collection of the most impressive rock roll artifacts around and a wide-ranging roster of on-going and temporary exhibits, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is wholeheartedly dedicated to the uncut illustration of the story of the world’s most powerful art form! Goodtime III Excursion Ship School Field Trip
What a treat! You and your students will board Cleveland’s largest and most luxurious excursion ship, the 151 foot, 1000 passenger Goodtime III, for a two+ hour exploration of the Forest City from your choice of four comfortable decks on this fully-narrated and absolutely entertaining educational outing! You’ll thrill to an unsurpassed view of the urban skyline as you cruise past the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Cleveland Browns Stadium and head out on your tour, enjoying a breathtaking array of area highlights, stunning architectural features and historic landmarks along the way! Don’t forget your camera – you’ll want to snap plenty of pics.

Cleveland Metroparks Zoo
Rise and shine! The last day of your fabulous three days Rock and Roll City adventure has you and your young charges heading off to the 183 acres Cleveland Metroparks Zoo – one of the most popular year-round attractions in Northeast Ohio! Encounter amazing cold-climate residents - reindeer, wolves, Siberian Tigers, and others - on your Northern Trek; an Australian Adventure gets you out on a wild Wallaby walkabout. Study the habitats of lions, giraffes, zebras and other locals on the African Savannah and ponder a day in the life of a pachyderm at Elephant Crossing; a RainForest excursion introduces you to thousands of plants and animals from the tropical regions of Asia, Africa, and the Americas. The Zoo’s Primate, Cat & Aquatics Building shelters one of the largest collections of primate species in North America; you’ll meet monkeys, lemurs, and gorillas, as well as gorgeous snow leopards, slick cheetahs and an awesome community of fresh and saltwater residents including sharks, voracious piranhas, Giant Pacific Octopus and living coral.
