 Navy Pier 
This is a favorite Chicago tradition, and most groups at least want to swing by this classic lakefront attraction on Chicago graduation trips and student tours. With so much to do at Navy Pier, though, you’re more likely to spend up to half a day with its museums, various shops, and classic outdoor carnival. Amazing Chicago has a funhouse maze you’ll never want to leave and there are several thrilling ways to tour the area, including Segway – those two-wheeled platforms propelled by artful leaning.
Willis Tower Skydeck (formerly Sears Tower)
Having the tallest observation deck in the city is just the beginning of the Willis Tower allure. The visibility from the Skydeck is up to fifty miles when the weather’s clear. And powerful binoculars help you take it all in. After watching the city from the top, step inside for greater detail on what you’ve seen, including exhibits on the famous architecture, information on popular landmarks, and all kinds of discovery through interactive computers.
Shedd Aquarium
The world’s largest indoor aquarium makes this just one of many reasons Chicago tops our list for student tours. The Shedd Aquarium takes you inside the mystery and wonder of the ocean. You’ll experience it up close in exhibits like Polar Play Zone and Waters of the World. There are over ninety aquatic habitats represented here and over 30,000 animals, proving the ocean is even bigger and more fascinating than you dreamed.
Seadog High-speed Cruise
The seadog is a speedboat with teeth. We mean, it literally has teeth painted onto its bow so you’ll recognize immediately you’re not in for a lazy water cruise. The speed is exciting at times as is the splashing and the comedy (these tour guides know how to keep you entertained), but the real thrill is getting such an amazing tour of Chicago’s skyline and popular landmarks. Chicago has so many world-class museums it’s difficult to choose just one. But don’t worry, we’ll help you pick the perfect one for your interests. The Field Museum is extremely popular. Its exhibits include some famous former residents of earth – like the infamous East-African lions featured in the movie Ghost and the Darkness, a popular Lincoln Park gorilla, and “Sue”, the largest preserved skeleton of a Tyrannosaurus Rex. The Museum of Science & Industry is another popular choice with amazing exhibits and interactive experiences all devoted to the wonders created by science. You’ll also love the films here in the 3D and Omnimax theaters featuring dinosaurs, sharks, and natural wonders. One of these might be the perfect choice for this slot in your tour.
Millennium Park
This is part of the park district on Chicago’s lakefront, a modern addition to Grant Park, considered Chicago’s front yard. Millennium Park is perhaps most frequented because of its powerful outdoor entertainment venue in which the sound system is suspended in a grid capable of allowing over 10,000 guests to fully experience the show. The park also has sculptures like the bean-shaped Cloud Gate – offering a unique reflection of Chicago’s skyline. And Crown Fountain is a centerpiece here with digital reproductions of common Chicago faces appearing to spit the water from their mouths. It must not be as gross as it sounds, because this is a popular place of summer refreshment for tourists and residents alike.
Magnificent Mile Shopping
This collection of shopping and restaurants stretches along beautiful Michigan Avenue. You’ll find everything here from designer boutiques and world-class restaurants to gift shops and pizza. Water Tower Place is an extensive mall named after the historic water tower. This tower is one of the only structures that survived the great Chicago fire in the 1800s, and it’s a fascinating sight on your Magnificent Mile tour.
