Chicago loves its parks. There are over 7600 acres of open spaces and proud landscapes know as Chicago’s Park District. You may have heard of Grant Park, perhaps the most famous, known as Chicago’s front yard, and Millennium Park is a modern addition to it. This park rightfully boasts that it is “An award-winning center for art, music, architecture, and landscape design,” (quoted from the park’s own website). You can see the truth of that in its sculptures, fountains, and the absolutely astounding Jay Pritzker Pavillion with its intricate overhead structure, which carries a sound system over the heads of up to 10,000 guests. The architectural achievement is breathtaking, especially when you’re enjoying the entertainment under its extensive grid.

The open spaces of Millennium Park are beautiful as well, especially with downtown Chicago towering overhead. Crown Fountain and Cloud Gate are two Chicago icons you’re sure to love. This is a great place for a picnic lunch when touring the Magnificent Mile, a must-see Chicago attraction, and – of course – a great place for entertainment. Millennium Park is sure to be one of the favorites stops on your tour.
