The Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park is a 4.5 acre waterfront park located along the Garrison Channel in downtown Tampa. Situated between the Amalie Stadium and the scenic Hillsborough River, this spectacular play area is fun for all ages from their water splash playground full of fun fountains for the children to the private park pier for adults. Near the pier your group will be able to use the canoe and kayak launch, take a dip in the water, or just soak up some sun and scenery from the shore. You will also have the chance to use any of the many beautiful trails throughout the park to walk, jog, or roller blade the day away.
The Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park is also located right next to the Channelside District, allowing easy and quick access to several eateries and entertainment choices. This beautiful community park isn’t just home to some of the best outdoor recreational activities either, it often times hosts large events for Tampa such as the Dragon Boat Races or crowd pleasing Duck races. There are also several weddings and ceremonies, as well as graduation parties and celebrations daily here at this park. Before you leave be sure to check out the historic side of this location with the memorial to the Seminole Indian Wars of Florida. Near the memorial you will find plaques with information about the wars and their impact on this particular stretch of land.
