Discovery Park of America

If your student group is heading to St. Louis from Memphis or Nashville, or vice versa, you're going to want to make a quick pit stop in Union City, a highly educational discovery center that is conveniently on the route to any of these three cities. Discovery Park of America is a museum, park, and garden located in the midst of Union City, 50 acres of educational fun located near the corner of Everett and Highway 69. Inside this marvelously large center, you will find 'world-class entertainment and educational experiences', the entire place holding over 70,000 square feet of exhibits regarding nature, science, technology, history, and even art! There will be, without a doubt, something for everyone in your group here to enjoy and learn about.

There are two different spring/fall traveling exhibits each year, the next four coming up being Jurassic Journeys, Da Vinci Machines, Made in Tennesee, and World of Giant Insects. Outside the 100,000 square foot Discovery Center (10 galleries covering everything from energy to Native Americans) you will find gorgeous gardens, an 1800's gristmill, log cabins, farm equipment, a Liberty Bell replica, a 100-year-old church, and even a replica train station! Talk about hitting all your bases! This place is an educational jackpot, for both students and teachers!
