Of course, your student group travel experience to Anaheim wouldn’t be complete without a stop at the world-famous Cali attraction, Disney California Adventure. Oftentimes just referred to as California Adventure or DCA, this highly popular theme park takes up a whopping 72 acres of prime Anaheim land, first opened here in 2001. Innovative attractions, excellent cuisine, and unforgettable live entertainment will greet you at all ends of this massive park, the entire area is broken into a total of 7 different ‘lands’. Explore each exciting land during your visit, each doing its own part in ‘bringing to life Disney and Pixar stories and characters through amazing attractions, entertainment, and dining!’. The different parts of the park are as follows (see map) A Bug's Land, Cars Land, Hollywood Land, Grizzly Peak, Buena Vista Street, Paradise Pier, and Pacific Wharf.
You will encounter so many attractions it’s going to be hard to decide where to start, an overall overwhelming collection of ‘adventure, classic stories, and exhilarating thrills’. Some of our favorites for student groups at Disney California Adventure include California Screamin’, Fliks Flyer, Soarin’ All Over the World, Mickey's Fun Wheel, Toy Story Midway Mania, and Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree. As far as entertainment goes, you really have to stay and see the World of Color Night Spectacular and Pixar Play Parade. The lights on Paradise Pier are entertainment enough after night falls, not to mention the different bands and characters stationed around the park!
You are certainly going to work up an appetite during your visit, which is great because this place has some seriously excellent eateries to choose from, with such a variety of types of food, cultures of food, and budget options you are sure to find something everyone in your group likes. From Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta to Bayside Brews, Churros to Chorizo, DCA has all ages and palates covered.
Still want a little bit more while here? Search for any happening events such as the popular Food and Wine Festivals, Holiday Events, or daily tours from the Disney Experts themselves. The VIP Tour is offered from 10 am to 9 pm daily and allows you and your group to have access to over 30 different attractions and shows, a truly unbeatable experience for your group to enjoy!
