Modern skyscrapers tower over the historic Old State House in Boston, Massachusetts. It’s an amazing sight, as if time stands still in that little corner of the city. In front of it you’ll find the circled bricks around a single star, signifying the spot well known as the site for the Boston Massacre. The killing of five colonists by the British military presence in Boston that night in 1770 is credited as one of the catalysts for the beginning of the American Revolution. It was a powerful moment in American history. It’s a popular historic site in America today, and it’s one important part of the amazing Freedom Trail in Boston.
