Old Sturbridge Village is an amazing outdoor museum immortalizing New England culture from the 1830s. You won’t just read about 19th century America here, you will live it. Throughout the village, costumed history interpreters plow fields, bake bread, create pottery, and run a blacksmith shop right before your eyes – and these aren’t the only early American activities you’ll witness firsthand here. More than 40 original buildings make up this amazing attraction, and the village they create buzzes daily with recreations of early American life. You’ll need to allow 3 to 4 hours to see all that the village has to offer. Old Sturbridge is like nothing you’ve experienced and an education in history you will never forget.
