Zoo America is home to over 200 animals and open year-round. It has all the species we know you love, plus many you’ll meet for the very first time. Zoo America greets new additions as well, so an experience here is always fresh. Some of its most recent new animals include two new snowy owls, a bald eagle, and venomous lizards. Its regulars hail from The Great Southwest, like the Arizona Mountain Kingsnake and the coati – a unique relative to the raccoon. Big Sky Country brings you the mountain lion, bison, and American Elk. You’ll find black bears and white-tailed deer in the Eastern Woodlands; the gopher tortoise, alligators, crocodiles, and snakes in the southern swamps; and the gray wolf from the Northlands. These are just some of the highlights. You can learn about many more species at Zoo America as well as the conservation efforts necessary to keep them thriving in their natural habitats.
