The Lowell National Historical Park is a celebration of an important aspect to the American dream, the industrial revolution. These historic sites in Lowell, Massachusetts, were used for textile manufacturing. These buildings and exhibits tell the story of an American people determined to move forward and to be on the cutting edge of commerce. You’ll visit the mills and learn how water was used to power the textile plants. You’ll see 19th century looms used for creating the textiles and tributes not just to the manufacturing process, but to the people behind it.
