Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site

In the upstairs bedroom of 501 Auburn Avenue in Atlanta, Georgia, Martin Luther King Jr. was born on the 15th day of January 1929. This is where Martin Luther King Jr. experienced a lot of his life, the good and the bad. This is where Martin Luther King Jr. experienced Christian and family love but also lived in a time of segregation. Experiencing both the good and the bad had taught him tolerance. Martin Luther King Jr. lived a very diligent life. Now opened to the public, the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site allows you to visit the birth home of Martin Luther King Jr. Through the exhibits and displays in his honor, you’ll be able to understand him even more, his way of life and the philosophies that made him such a prominent spokesmen for civil rights.
