WHERE: Across from Verizon Center at 575 7th St., Washington D.C.

WHEN: 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., closed Thanksgiving and Christmas

WHAT: Exhibits on the history of crime and punishment

It’s been around since the days of medieval knights. Punishment and crime have coexisted from the days when pirate ships sped the seas to the scenes of today’s white collar criminals and the courtrooms that sentence them to their fate. This museum takes you inside a full-scale model police station complete with a police lineup, a lie detector test, and a replica jail cell. You’ll see the electric chair and lethal injection machines used for the ultimate penalty. You’ll see how everyday heroes train and perform the important duties of today’s law enforcement. And you’ll discover investigative tools and tactics in the CSI Experience. As a final thrill, your tour includes the America’s Most Wanted television set where you’ll learn about the dramatic fugitive captures the show has helped to achieve since its inception. This is the ultimate experience in Crime and Punishment, perfect for educational tours
