IMC-Agrico Peace River Park and Boardwalk
This attraction is in central Florida and is part of our Polk County student ecotours.
Up until the late 1980’s this site was an open pit phosphate mine. View towering cypress trees along one of the trails around the Peace River Flood Plain. Along the trails are signs that give your group some insight into the history of the land and the hopes for the future of the site. These 460 acres of plains and river are a perfect way to begin your day. Watch the sun rise through the oak trees and hear birds singing everywhere. This is a wonderful experience for any group, of all ages.
