Kissimmee Cow Camp
This attraction is in central Florida and is part of our Polk County student ecotours.
Visit the camp where the clock stopped one hundred and thirty years ago! The Kissimmee Cow Camp transports you back in time to a rancher’s life back in 1876. A “Cow Hunter” will guide you through the camp and tell you about his life and the challenges he faced. Park Rangers take pride in their roles as Cow Hunters and make the experience a lot of fun for any age of student group. Just don’t ever call them cowboys! Park Ranger Mark Koruschak responded to this with “We sent all of our boys to Texas. We are Florida cow hunters.” The Cow Camp is open 9:30 am to 4:30 pm Saturdays and Sundays.
