Soo Locks Cruise

The Soo Locks is considered one of the great wonders of the world. It is the largest waterway traffic system on earth. Sault Ste. Marie is Michigan’s oldest city, and your cruise will sail along its shoreline. The Soo Locks Tour is a two-hour live narrated boat excursion that actually takes our group through the Locks. Your boat will sail right alongside the big freighters and our tour boat will ride the water as it is raised twenty-one feet, straight up, to the level of Lake Superior. Then you will cruise under the International Bridge and Railroad Bridge before crossing into Canadian waters where you’ll see some of Canada's industry along the shoreline. Your return to the lower harbor will be through the Canadian Lock and on past the St. Mary's Rapids. Your cruise boat will sail along the international shoreline of the lower harbor so you can experience the sights and sounds of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan's oldest city. Once you return to the harbor, you’ll depart for home.
