This is a unique experience surrounding Virginia’s extensive and varied aquatic life. From the rivers and marshes to the open sea, these exhibits are swarming with real Virginia wildlife you will love. The Bay and Ocean Pavillion takes you through Virginia’s various waters from the rivers to the Chesapeake Bay and into the depths of the Atlantic Ocean. Not only can you see sharks, stingrays, and various fish and turtles – there’s a touch pool where you can experience them up close and personal. The nature trail and marsh pavilion are for river otters, snakes, and other wildlife from around the rivers and wooded areas. To top it off, there is an IMAX here with a six-story movie screen featuring 3D films with all of the aquatic life you love. The Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center celebrates Virginia’s water worlds in a way that will make you want to celebrate as well.
