White Water Rafting

Our thrilling day of white water rafting in Canon City, CO, begins a 7:30 am. Checking in means we get our wet suits and river boots and a quick but effective orientation of safety rules. Be sure the company you choose provides paddle jackets for your safety as well. It is best to wear clothes that will dry quickly in the heat and sun. Cotton is not a good choice as it can stick to the skin and take a while to dry. Bring a change of clothing for after the event.

A half day of rafting the Big Horn Sheep Canyon is 9 miles, and a full day is 21 miles. You can include lunch with either of these by requesting it. At some point in the day the group will be pulled over to the banks of the river. Then either a boxed lunch will be presented to each individual, or upon request a more lavish meal, such as a BBQ, will have been prepared and may be eaten family style by all rafters. Be sure to bring sun screen and a towel. Your rafting guide will bring you safely to the banks of the river and the rafting company will drive the group back to their vehicle. What a day of excitement!
