Denver Art Museum

The Museum’s galleries showcase some of its 60,000+ works of art, including American and European paintings, sculptures, and textiles as well as a world-famous Native American art collection. The Denver Art Museum’s Hamilton Building consists of geometric shards flaring out like titanium flower petals. It is connected to the Museum's striking North Building by an enclosed bridge that spans 13th Avenue. The distinctive North Building, which opened in 1971, was designed by Gio Ponti of Italy.

Dinner Show: Flying "W" Ranch

This working mountain cattle ranch is located in Colorado Springs and is a must see for western food and entertainment. There is an authentic old western town and wonderful western meals, the evening is topped off with an amazing western stage show. This is always a big hit among student groups. You can arrive early and take advantage of the great shipping and authentic western town.

Park: Garden of the Gods

This park is located at the base of Pikes peak and is a popular destination. Marvel at the unique geological formations, participate in mountain climbing, or enjoy the nature trails that run through this magnificent park.

Tour/Sightseeing: United States Air Force Academy

At this location visitors can tour this giant campus. The campus includes the Academy, Falcon Stadium, Arnold Hall, and a museum, honoring Air Force personnel. This is an excellent stop on any Colorado Student Tour.

Tour/Sightseeing: Olympic Training Center

This is the main operating quarter for the U.S. Olympic Committee administration and the center for Olympic Training programs. Tour the facilities and learn a little about how American athletes spend their time preparing for the Olympics.

Tour/Sightseeing: Wind Cave Adventure

Discover all the nooks and crannies of the Cave of the Winds. This cave boasts rock formations and amazing caves with amazing lighting. Take a tour through this cave with your student tour group and learn about rock and cave formations. Definitely a fun experience (not recommended for small children or those uncomfortable with enclosed spaces).

Park: Royal Gorge Park

Enjoy the awe-inspiring Royal Gorge Park. You can spend your time walking over the Royal Gorge bridge - which is the world's highest suspension bridge. You also get to enjoy an aerial tram that allows you to view the area from a different angle. There are other attractions here for you to enjoy, including a petting zoo, burro rides, and the world's highest skycoaster! The park also has plenty of little shops and places to eat for your group to check out!

Activity: High Ropes Challenge Course

The High Ropes Challenge courses teach students to work together and as a team to accomplish goals. These courses are perfect confidence builders for students and they are a ton of fun. Students will work as a team to cross rope bridges, climb rope courses, and get through other obstacles all while being carefully supervised and safely strapped to safety lines. This is a great feature to any student tour!

Attraction: Pikes Peak Cog Rail

The Pikes Peak Cog Rail is a special train rail that is able to climb much steeper grades that most other rails. The Pikes Peak Cog Rail takes you to the top of Pike's Peak and gives you about half an hour to discover the trails, take pictures of the amazing view, or try the famous doughnuts at the top. The best views on the train are said to be on the 3 seat side. This is a must see for shutter bugs, the views are amazing!!

Activity: Mountain Bike Riding

Strike out on a Colorado adventure on a mountain biking trail. This is a perfect match for the adventureous student tour groups. Don't miss out on amazing scenery and trails.

Tour/Sightseeing: Denver US Mint

The Denver US Mint is known for its informative tours. Its a great learning experience and very interesting. For tours reservations need to be made in advance, Adventure Student Travel can assist you in all your needs if you would like to check out this great tour.

Attraction: Denver Botanical Gardens

This has been a popular destination in Denver for over 55 years. This Garden is 23 acres of urban oasis. This beautiful garden is the perfect place to learn about flora and fauna, as well as take in the natural splendor of this Lush garden.

Museum: Museum of History

This museum is a great location to explore and learn about Colorado's pioneer history. They have a plethora of artifacts, dioramas, and photographs for you to enjoy. This is an excellent learning opportunity and is a spectacular museum to see!

Park: Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park

This National Park is a great place to enjoy the beauty of Colorado. On your trip you can see Long's peak as well and see gorgeous meadows. Additionally you can see lots of elk and moose in their natural habitat. This is a great park to visit!

Attraction: Manitou Cliff Dwellings

At the Manitou Cliff Dwellings you can see authentic anasazi dwellings from over 700 years ago. This is a great place to learn about pueblos and their history. There is a nearby gift shop where you can purchase Native American pottery and crafts.

Activity: Elitch Gardens Theme Park

Elitch Gardens is also known as Colorado's Coaster Capital. This thrill park has dozens of coasters and rides, as well as a waterpark for guests. NOt only do the rides at this park thrill you but there are plenty of shows to see. Don't miss out on the X-treme sports show and see some amazing BMX tricks. This is Definitely a fun day for all.
