Serving as the hub of historical information for the area, the Crossroads Museum invites visitors to view its permanent exhibits dealing with Civil War, Railroad, Aviation, Business/Industry and Pre-History/Archeology. The Civil War exhibit area contains models of the original depot area and Corona College, both used as hospitals during the Civil War and burned during the conflict. A number of artifacts are also on display. Spend time in the adjacent galleries, which offer special rotating exhibits. The Museum also offers a gift shop and the Margaret Greene Rogers Research Library.
Located on the grounds of the Museum is a caboose, which is a special attraction to children and the site for various activities.
The Museum is housed in the former rail depot. It is the site of the original depot of the Memphis & Charleston and the Mobile & Ohio railroad lines. The current depot building was built in the Craftsman style circa 1918. It is unusual because it is built at a right angle and faces into the railroad intersection; probably the only V-plan in Mississippi.
