Moody Gardens

Moody Gardens is a great place to spend the day. Much of the day may be spent indoors, but your group will get lost in the Rainforest Exhibit, the Aquarium and the exciting IMAX movies. The Moody Gardens is known as the great indoors. There are water themed exhibits and gardens with butterflies that flutter about with beautiful flowers and flora. Groups can enjoy a top notch aquarium and a 4D Theatre.

With prior notice the group can participate in the Penguin Encounter program where they can actually pet a penguin and learn about the life and habitat of the species. Your group may even get to feed the Penguins their lettuce for the day. The Aquarium pyramid is lovely with fish, water, amazing sea turtles, and seals. And a real highlight, is the baby seahorse nursery. The Rainforest pyramid has incredible tropical plants from their native locations. There are beautiful parrots and animals walking freely amongst their natural looking surroundings. Groups will see caged animals such as vampire bats and other amphibians. Take time to visit the Caribbean Beach where there is much fun with water and sand. Build a sandcastle and enjoy a drink while relaxing watching the beautiful views of the Galveston shoreline. There is so much to do here at Moody Gardens, you may want to consider coming for a second day.
