Grant Park

WHERE: Chicago’s lakefront

WHEN: It’s a park! Come any time.

WHAT: Walkways, fountains, picnic spots…

When President Barrak Obama gave his 2009 victory speech in Grant Park in Chicago, any part of the world that hadn’t heard of Chicago’s front yard finally learned of this beautiful space Chicago has treasured for years. Its centerpiece is a beautiful fountain, brilliantly lit after dark, and the open spaces its founders were so determined to preserve.

The museums here are world-class with famous exhibits, the largest aquarium in the world, and beautiful art galleries. Besides that, the walkways, statues, and gardens make this a must-see attraction in its own right. Grant Park is just part of the thousands of acres that make up Chicago’s park district along Lake Michigan. There is a lot to see here and many ways to see it. Whether for biking tours, walking tours, or simply a gateway to some of the most amazing museums in the world, Grant Park is a must-see Chicago attraction.
