Hancock Observatory
WHERE: 875 N. Michigan Avenue, right on the Magnificent Mile
WHEN: You’ll find the least crowds before 11 a.m. Or consider after 6 p.m. for a brilliant, starry skyline.
WHAT: An amazing view – to say the least
As if the open-air observatory, unique photo ops, and amazing view weren’t enough to entice you, the Hancock Observatory also offers innovative photo ops, sound effects in their telescopes, and now the Sky Tour. This multimedia gadget describes what you’re seeing from the top. It’s artfully narrated by David Schwimmer (of Friends fame) and included with the price of your admission. It’s just one of the many extra efforts taken to make the Hancock observatory a rich Chicago experience. This is one of the most famous buildings in the Chicago skyline, and it provides one of the most exciting attractions.
