Illuminations Tours

When Washington D.C. was chosen for the national capital and home to the President of the United States, it offered little of the majesty and beauty you see today. Since that time, memorials and monuments have gone up to former favored presidents – great thinkers, the founders and preservers of our nation.

Powerful, artistic memorials have been raised for almost all of the wars and conflicts in which our armed forces participated as well. These monuments and memorials were chosen so carefully – the design, location, and inscriptions all debated and considered for extended periods before construction began. Now they stand as powerful reminders of pivotal seasons and memorable heroes in our history. They are beautiful, and they have created the dimension of elegance and stateliness for which our capital is known. The most beautiful way to experience them is on the Illuminations Tour. On it you'll visit the Capitol building, the presidential monuments and war memorials – all artistically illuminated for a beautiful and fascinating view.
