Marion Robert Morrison was born in 1907 and lived in Winterset, Iowa, until he moved to California in 1911. Marion became John Wayne and has become a legend in his time through his acting career. John Wayne starred in numerous films, such as The Wings of Eagles, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, The Green Berets and True Grit to name a very few. Memorabilia from the movie True Grit can be found at the birthplace as well.
