Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County

The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County is dedicated to the idea that responsibility and discovery in nature greatly impact the earth and its inhabitants. In 1913 this became the first natural and cultural museum to open its doors in Los Angeles and since has become the largest natural and historical museum in the west, making it perfect for all educational tours. This museum displays over 35 million different artifacts that help you understand the history of the earth. The Natural History Museum has several interesting and amazing exhibits like the Hall of Gems and Minerals with the world’s largest collection of gold, and the dinosaur Section of the museum, which has several rare dinosaurs including the Tyrannosaurus Rex. And don’t miss the Insect Zoo to see all of your least favorite creepy crawlies.
