Franklin Court

From 316-322 Market Street (Between 3rd and 4th Streets)
Philadelphia, PA

This celebration of Benjamin Franklin is a series of structures and buildings. It’s another great historic stop for Philadelphia educational tours.

What is it?

Franklin Court is Philadelphia’s tribute to Benjamin Franklin, a man who contributed so much to this great American city. You’ll discover several of his contributions through these unique exhibits. The first thing you notice will be a giant steel structure built as a ghost-like memorial to Benjamin Franklin’s home, which used to stand there. Underneath this structure is a museum dedicated to Franklin’s life. Also nearby are other buildings, some of which Franklin built and rented out. The buildings include a working post office (at 316) and postal museum (314). Benjamin Franklin is Philadelphia’s most favored son, and you will never forget why after visiting this historical tribute to him.
