The National Liberty Museum is a great addition to Philadelphia educational tours. It is a unique collection of exhibits celebrating American freedom. The museum utilizes contemporary art and tributes to American heroes to tell the story of this freedom, its rights and responsibilities. The exhibits include Let Freedom Ring and the Coming to America Gallery. A gallery called From Conflict to Harmony focuses on the commonality in all human DNA and offers interactive experiences to help us learn how to break the cycle of hate, including the Jelly Bean Children exhibit, and the shredder used by visitors to destroy cruel words. The Voyage to Liberty through Faith Gallery suggests biblical heroes who inspired our country’s founders. And the 9/11 Memorial is a 3-story exhibit in the center of the museum dedicated to the terrorist attack and heroic actions on that day in America in 2001. The National Liberty Museum has many other exhibits, films, and exciting activities to help you appreciate even more fully our nation’s liberty.
