Exploring San Francisco

Over the course of four days, students will see some of San Francisco's most famous landmarks. They will have the opportunity to explore Fisherman's Wharf, Alcatraz, and Union Square. Also they can ride on a cable car and see the Golden Gate Bridge firsthand. Students are bound to have an educational, entertaining, and fun experience!

City Tour
Explore the famous sights and historic places in San Francisco.

Radisson Fisherman's Wharf
Arrive at Radisson Fisherman’s Wharf around 5:00 PM.

The Radisson Hotel Fisherman’s Wharf
Check in at The Radisson Hotel Fisherman’s Wharf. This property offers a premier location, set in the core of San Francisco's most celebrated neighborhood, facing Alcatraz Island.

Hard Rock Café
Dinner at Hard Rock Café at PIER 39.

Wax Museum
Visit to the Wax Museum. Come face to face with the most renowned personalities of history, fantasy and today's news! The Wax Museum offers heroes, stars, religious and world leaders and much more.

Breakfast
Breakfast at the Hotel (IHOP).

Muir Woods
Stand in awe of the giant Redwood trees - they are more than 800 years old, and some stand more than 250 feet tall. Don't forget to wear your walking shoes and a jacket.

Exploratorium
Housed within the walls of San Francisco's landmark Palace of Fine Arts, the Exploratorium is a collage of hundreds of interactive exhibits in the areas of science, art, and human perception.

Golden Gate Bridge
Completed in 1937, the Golden Gate Bridge is the symbol of San Francisco. The bridge is 8,981 feet long and connects San Francisco with Marin County and nearby Sausalito. The channel below the bridge is 400 feet deep and is the mouth of San Francisco Bay into the Pacific Ocean!

Palace of Fine Arts
Palace of Fine Arts is the largest structure remaining from the 1915 San Francisco Panama-Pacific Exposition.

Fog Harbor Restaurant
7 PM Dinner at Fisherman’s Wharf (Fog Harbor Restaurant )

Ghirardelli Square
Chocolate and shopping at Ghirardelli Square. Domingo Ghirardelli purchased the entire city block for the Ghirardelli Chocolate Company in 1893. In 1982 the square was added to the National Register of Historic Places. Today one can enjoy shops, restaurants and treats from the famous soda fountain.

Alcatraz Island Tour
Take the audio walking tour of this famous Island Prison and tour through the many cellblocks. You'll even learn about the famous Escape From Alcatraz.

Golden Gate Park
One of America's largest urban parks.

7PM Dinner in Chinatown at Cathay House. Explore the real Chinatown! Visit dim sum bakeries, specialty restaurants and cafés, where you'll sample Asian cuisine as you delve into Chinese mysticism and culture. Explore local sculpture and architecture as you enjoy cups of fragrant tea.
