George's

George’s is proud to be a part of Waco tradition. Since the 1930’s, George's has been a local gathering for various groups in Waco like the Baylor University Alumni, as well as sports goers alike. George's, which is located at 1925 Speight Ave, is known for its friendly atmosphere and homecooked flavor. 

George’s is famous for their chicken fried steak and was featured in Texas songwriter Pat Green’s original song, George's Bar and his new hit Collage. George's also offers steak, seafood, burgers, bar-b-que, fajitas, chicken, and much more! 

Sammy Citrano III, owner of George's, has been recognized by governors, senators and congressmen - even Barbara Walters and former President George W. Bush - for the quality of food and personal touch that he and the George's staff provide. George's had the privilege of catering for President George W. Bush at his ranch in Crawford, TX. Sammy was honored in 1998 as a recipient of the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Business Award.  

For student tour groups, George’s offers offsite catering or can accommodate student travel groups on site.  

George’s is open Monday – Saturday from 6:30 AM - 12:00 AM and is closed on Sundays.
