World Trade Center Tour

This area was once referred to simply as “the pile” and now often considered Ground Zero as it was the scene for the most horrific terrorist attack on United States soil to date. The last of the debris was cleared from the site in May of 2002, and those personally involved now refer to it as the World Trade Center rebuilding site. The footprints left by the World Trade Center towers are still a haunting reminder of 9/11. Memorials exist in the form of a Memorial Wall at the New York fire department and in Trinity Church nearby. The rebuilding includes another memorial as well as the new building project, appropriately called Freedom Tower.
