Teaching guests the importance of music education and cultural connections in our musical past and present, the GRAMMY Museum at L.A Live is the leader in the entertainment-education sector for L.A and the surrounding areas. This museum is devoted to the history and winners of the prestigious Grammy Awards, showing this devotion through several showbiz artifacts and cutting-edge interactive exhibits.

Established in 2008, the GRAMMY Museum aims to create a greater understanding of the history and significance of music through a deep exploration of our musical heritage, an excellent way to connect our current culture with our musical past. Over 25,000 students in grades k-12 visit the museum annually to experience this unique educational experience, as well as discover new styles of music and hold and play various instruments. Students can write songs, learn about sound technology, and even learn in-depth information about the recording. Take a docent-led tour of the museum, customizable per group request and interest, enjoy a museum-wide scavenger hunt or head to the Clive Davis Theater for a workshop. (*Note that classes and workshops are only offered 11 am to 12 pm and typically require groups of between 25 and 200).

To give you an idea of what you and your group will see upon a visit to the museum, a few current exhibits on display include Songwriters Hall of Fame, In the Studio, Latin Grammys, and Enduring Traditions, the latter of which will explore the history of some of America's most prominent musical traditions, from sacred and folk music to pop and jazz! Another great exhibit to check out is Culture Shock, an interactive discussion of the oftentimes 'heated intersection of music, and our broader culture'.

A visit to the GRAMMY Museum at L.A Live is an excellent choice for groups of any age, presenting insightful information in an exciting and interesting way!
