Oak Street Beach is a Lake Michigan shining gem, an urban-set beach at North Lake Shore Drive, within the Gold Coast/Streeterville neighborhoods. This beach will give your group a great opportunity for exercise and fun, not to mention an incredible view of both the city and the seemingly never-ending Michigan Lake.

Take part in any of the many frequent volleyball tournaments while here, visit the lakefront trail, view the iconic beach mural by Jeff Zimmerman, or just take in the sun and lakeside surf. You may want to get a history lesson while here as well, the under and over-development woes of the past, past drainage and water quality issues, and even the time in which this spot was used as a public bathing ground (the early 1900s).

Swimming is permitted from 11 am to 7 pm, the hours the lifeguard is on duty. There is a beach house, restrooms, and an onsite food station at Oak Street Food and Drink. For more fun activities here try the B-Cycle, Coup De Main Massages, or visit the Boucher Brothers!
