Rock Town Distillery
The very first legal distillery of any kind in Arkansas since Prohibition is located in downtown Little Rock, a booming new business by the name of Rock Town Distillery. Rock Town was founded in 2010 by Phil Brandon as an artisan craft distillery. Brandon uses grains from Arkansas to distill the award-winning spirits in a "true grain-to-glass" process. The spirits are distilled from corn, wheat, and rye grown within 125 miles of the distillery, placing much pride and passion on the locality of the product. Rock Town is dedicated to their craft and has won numerous international awards for their spirits since opening.
Rock Town provides several daily tours that will take your group through the whole process of spirit making, from grain to glass to filling bottles. They will discuss with you the origins of bourbon, what makes vodka vodka, and exactly what gin truly is. The tour lasts about half an hour and there is also a free tasting of all the award-winning spirits at the end for those over 21 years of age. The distillery encourages you to ask questions, learn new facts, and have fun throughout your tour. There is an on site bar and gift shop, which sells all the Rock Town products such as whiskey, bourbon, vodka, gin, rum, and Muscadine Moonshine! Children are welcome to come learn as well and under 7 get in free! Your group is going to love seeing "how it’s made" here at Rock Town, and you’re going to love the opportunity to taste all these authentic fine southern spirits (if you're of age, of course)!
