San Diego Veterans Day Parade

Head to sunny San Diego this autumn to celebrate Veterans Day in one of the biggest tribute parades and festivals across the nation, the San Diego Veterans Day Parade and Band of Pride Tribute. Happening each Veterans Day in San Diego, California, this largely celebrated and attended event provides different high school bands across the country with the opportunity to pay tribute respectfully, perform on the U.S.S Midway, perform in the parade, and even participate in an after-parade award Dinner and Dance Cruise in the San Diego Bay!  Talk about one seriously rewarding, in every sense, performance trip!

This is one of our favorite choices for parade performances for high school bands, allowing them to be immersed in military history with the pre-parade ‘Rally on the Midway’ performance, lunch, and tour, as well as the parade itself, going right through the historic Gaslamp District. The parade runs from North Harbor Drive to Pacific Highway, passing the U.S.S Midway along the way. 2015 served as the 70th anniversary of WWII, the perfect time to help deliver a greatly deserved tribute to all veterans who served during that time (1941 - 1945). If you would like to stay longer than just this one parade day there is also a week-long series of Veterans Week events including several city-wide tours, plus this is the perfect opportunity to sight-see the California coast and all the amazing San Diego sights and scenery.
