If you want high flying thrills and some of the best views around Costa Rica then you want Selvatura Adventure Park, an eco-adventure theme park located within the Monteverde Conservation area. This park is dedicated to giving guests the chance to experience the cloud forest through fun and adventurous activities such as zip lining and aerial path walking.
Located within the northwest Puntarenas province, Selvatura Adventure Park, or sometimes also referred to as the Monteverde Nature Center, provides you with ‘one of the finest canopy tour in the country’, presenting your group with a web of connecting cables and platforms up in the treetops. The canopy tours and walkways take up a total of about 1200 aerial acres, with 15 cables and 18 viewing platforms total. That’s over 2 miles of aerial adventure to be had! The best part? You will be doing this all within the cloud forest itself, not above it, so you will be immersed, in all senses of the word, into Monteverde’s Cloud Forest.
There are several different adventure options here, such as the Superman Zipline, Xtreme Adventure Package, Eco Adventure, Hummingbird Garden, Butterfly Garden, and Herpetarium and Frog Center. The popular Selvatura Nature Package will allow you to see wildlife up close and personal and feel the adrenaline of being high in the sky all at once. A favorite of many visitors here at the adventure park is the Tarzan Swing, a large swing-like contraption that allows you to dangle your feet over the world of green below.
Most tour choices typically last about 2.5 hours and include an introduction to safety equipment, harness fitting, and proper technique tips.
