The Alamo is now a World Heritage site | Fox News

If you haven't heard, the United Nations recently labeled the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas as a World Heritage site. The title will likely, sources say, bring in a boom of international tourism. The Alamo, however, is already famous as the site of a military standoff between a few brave Texans and the larger army of General Santa Anna. Though the Alamo fell during this fated battle of the Mexican-American War, it remains a symbol of perseverance, the connection of cultures, and fighting spirit.
