War Memorial Park

War Memorial Park

War Memorial Park in the heart of Little Rock is a large multi-purpose outdoor recreational area that was designed as a tribute to the many beautiful natural Arkansas wonders. Here you will find many impressive public park features, from the fully operating 18-hole golf course and over-the-top children’s play area to the natural rock features and impressive splash pad. There are even areas to fish and enjoy the park pond! There are many walking trails and rock climbing walls, the walls made with natural boulders and stones from around the state. A range of climbing skill levels are taken advantage of here, from first-time visitors to professional climbers.

The play area utilizes native stones to create fun caves, nooks, crannies, and small underground tunnels to explore. There are children sections of rope and rock climbing, and there are also numerous slides and grottos to play in. The water feature is a large splash pad that has features of actual waterways throughout the state, from creeks to rivers to waterfalls. This splash pad produces fun and refreshing sprays, mists, and fogs as well, making this a great spot to cool down in that hot Arkansas summer humidity. Be sure to check out the urban executive, 90-acre golf course before you go as well. This course is a unique par 65 layout and has Tif dwarf Bermuda grass greens and it's the best place to get quality golfing with convenient locations and amazing playtime.
