Adventure Island Tampa Bay
Welcome to Tampa’s Key West atmosphere, the water-soaked excitement known as Adventure Island. Kick back into island time in this laid-back atmosphere with hours of sun-drenched fun. Located in northeast Tampa, across from Busch Gardens, this fun spot was opened in 1980 and features 30 acres of water rides, dining, and relaxing entertainment. Choose from corkscrew slides, waterfalls, a wave pool, a rambling river, and other fast-paced family fun, or maybe just enjoy a rejuvenating siesta in your own private cabana!
Some of the most popular rides at Adventure Island include the Aruba Tuba, Calypso Coaster, Riptide, and Water Moccasin. Your group can also choose between five different pools, the Paradise Lagoon, or the fun and exciting Splash Attack center to cool off from those hot Tampa days. Once you’ve worked up an appetite, hit up any of the many concession stands throughout the park or sit down for a nice island themed meal at Surfside Cafe, Mango Joe's, or Island Taco Truck. Beat the heat with some desert from Surfside Ice Cream afterward! While it is a great water park, Adventure Island also offers quiet beach picnic areas, allowing your group to fully enjoy the Florida beach atmosphere while here! Protip: if you are going to be riding the water rides all day, it’s smart to take advantage of their cashless wristbands, allowing you to ride and pay without getting money wet or losing your wallet!
