While visiting Niagara Falls you should strongly consider a trip to the top of the Prospect Point Observation Tower, the incredibly unique observation tower providing the only panoramic view of all 3 falls at once!

Located within Prospect Point, this observation tower is an impressive 282 feet tall and extends dramatically over the Niagara Gorge. The tower was built in 1961 and is comprised of aluminum, glass, and steel, shaped in the form of a maltese cross. This 'architectural wonder' provides elevated and 'out front' views of the American Falls, as well as the not so distant cascades of the other 2 falls and raging waters below.

To get to the top of the observation tower you must pay a small $1 fee to board the elevator, which also serves as access to the Maid of the Mist Boat Tour at the base. Ride to the top of the tower and take advantage of the high-power lenses for close-up views of the falls and surrounding landscapes, indoor facilities including a gift shop and snack bar, and excellent bird watching opportunities outside on the deck. This spot affords views of such birds as peregrine falcons, bald eagles, several types of gulls, and more. It is actually an official Audubon Important Bird Area, or IBA.
