NorCal Aquarium & Wildlife

NorCal Aquarium & Wildlife gives students a fun way to explore the amazing world of animals. The attraction is home to many kinds of fish, reptiles, birds, mammals, and other wildlife. Students can see animals from land and sea, and learn about the places these animals call home. Every visit offers something new to discover.

First, students can explore the aquarium exhibits. They will see colorful tropical fish, sharks, rays, jellyfish, and many other sea animals. Large viewing windows let students watch the animals swim, hunt, and play. Along the way, they will learn how each animal lives and survives in the wild.

Next, students can visit the wildlife exhibits. They may see snakes, lizards, turtles, frogs, birds, and small mammals from around the world. Easy-to-read signs share fun facts about each animal. Students can learn about what they eat, how they behave, and where they live.

Many visits include hands-on activities. Students may have the chance to touch gentle sea animals in a touch tank, and watch animal feedings or live talks led by trained staff. These activities help students connect with wildlife in a fun and exciting way.

As students explore, they will learn why it is important to protect animals and their homes. They will discover how pollution, habitat loss, and climate change affect wildlife, and the simple ways people can help care for the environment every day.

Students will learn about the people who care for the animals, and see how staff members feed the animals, clean their habitats, and help keep them healthy. They may even learn about wildlife rescue and animal care. These lessons introduce students to many jobs that help protect animals.

NorCal Aquarium & Wildlife gives students a chance to learn by exploring. They can ask questions, watch animals up close, and discover species from around the world. The visit brings together science, nature, and hands-on learning in one fun experience. Students leave with new knowledge, great memories, and a deeper respect for the animals that share our planet.
