Branson Scenic Railway

Branson Scenic Railway

The Branson Scenic Railway is an excellent addition to any itinerary, this 'mainline through the Ozarks' presenting guests with stunning Ozark scenery and history.

You will start your journey at the historic 1905 depot, which serves as the railway's headquarters and ticket booth today. The ride is 40 miles total, taking an hour and 45 minutes round trip through the mountains. Travel through tunnels, over trestles and all-around typical Southern Missouri and Northern Arkansas landscapes. Some of the major sights to see along the way include the Walnut Creek Trestle, Barren Fork Trestle, Tharp's Grade, Cricket Tunnel, and Crest Tunnel.

The route taken depends on the commercial railway traffic that particular day. You may go north, to the James River Valley in Missouri, or you may go south, to the Barren Fork Trestle in Arkansas.

You are encouraged to walk around the train and see it all during your trip, the cars restored to their original 1st-class design.

**April through October there is a 5 pm Dinner Train available, and during the month of December, there is a special Polar Express Train.
