Day 1

Capitol Hill Walking Tour –First, explore Capitol Hill on a guided walking tour through the heart of American government. Along the way, see the United States Supreme Court and visit the beautiful Library of Congress. As you walk, learn about our nation’s leaders, history, and government while enjoying the impressive buildings around you.

White House Photo Op –Then, stop at the White House for a memorable photo opportunity. See the famous home and workplace of the president of the United States. During your visit, learn fun facts about its history, design, and role in our nation.

National Museum of American History – Next, visit the National Museum of American History. Explore exhibits featuring important objects, inventions, and events that tell the story of our nation.

Washington Monument – Afterward, visit the Washington Monument, one of Washington, D.C.’s most famous landmarks. This 555-foot marble tower honors George Washington, our first president. As you explore, learn about his leadership and enjoy views of the National Mall and nearby memorials.

World War II Memorial – Next, visit the World War II Memorial on the National Mall. This special site honors the 16 million Americans who served during the war and remembers those who gave their lives. As you walk through the memorial, see the large arches, bronze panels, and Freedom Wall with gold stars. This stop is a chance to honor the courage and sacrifice of those who protected freedom.
