In 1993 Carlo and Julie Smith took their passion for outdoor adventure in Tennessee to the next level and opened Adventures Unlimited, a venture that has turned into a well-known and respected resort and adventure experience today!
With Adventures Unlimited the goal is 'to offer an array of adventure that will please the first-timer, adrenaline junkie, or a mix between the two.' This company offers fun and safe outdoor activities, their most popular being whitewater rafting, though they also offer paintballing and camping. The guides here have extensive training, and most Trip Leaders eve have Wilderness First Responder Certification.
If your group is lodging with Adventures Unlimited you will have your choice of primitive camping, cabins, or bungalows. There are dining options onsite, with RoadKill Smokehouse, Crazy RiverSmokee Shack, and Bus Bar Grill available for walk-up dining options or catering on the river! The resort area sits on 30 acres of natural wooded forest in Ocoee Tennessee.
When it comes to whitewater rafting, your group will have quite a few options. Take the Classic Middle River Adventure, a 5-mile journey through various class III and IV rapids. This journey takes about 3.5 hours and ends at Caney Creek, where you can take the bus back to camp. Next, you have the Full Ocoee River Deluxe Trip, a 6-hour, 10-mile adventure through the same rapids, plus some. This is only offered on the weekends and comes with a riverside catered lunch as well. Lastly, you will have the choice of the Full Ocoee River Express Trip, taking you through the same 10 miles as the last tour, but with no lunch. This will last 4.5 hours.
