Day
1

Chicago Neighborhood Tours
When in Chicago Town, you must be sure to explore Near Westside’s Little Italy and Greektown and Near Southside’s Chinatown; these wonderfully diverse districts deserve a place on every Windy City itinerary! Marvel at each neighborhood’s distinct architecture, popular landmarks and points of interest and swoon over samplings of delicious specialties tendered by local bakeries and restaurants; "mangia tutti cosi"...eat everything... and love life! A variety of guided tours direct you to all the neighborhood highlights and each offers an unforgettably immersive cultural experience in the City of Big Shoulders.

Navy Pier
No student trip to the Windy City would be complete without a stop by historic Navy Pier, Chicago's lakefront playground and the Midwest's premier leisure destination, featuring 50 acres of parks, promenades, gardens, shops, eateries and attractions! Take a spin on a 15-story tall Ferris wheel and catch a flick at the IMAX® Theatre. Cut loose on three floors of interactive fun at Chicago Children's Museum, hop aboard a cruise or speed boat departing from Navy Pier's South Dock and browse Family Pavilion’s wonderful retail shops for that perfect Chi-Town souvenir. Summertime on the Pier brings spectacular twice-weekly fireworks shows perfectly synchronized to music on Lake Michigan; Navy Pier has it all.

Shoreline Sightseeing Water Tour
Discover the best of Chicago from the water as you relax aboard one of Shoreline’s comfortable custom built sightseeing vessels; Shoreline Sightseeing boasts the Windy City’s largest and most popular sightseeing and water taxi fleet and recently celebrated their 75th year in operation. Choose a fascinating guided 75 minute Architecture Tour on the Chicago River, enjoy the striking views of the city from Lake Michigan or delight to a glittering nighttime view of Chicago’s iconic skyline on a spectacular Lake Fireworks Tour.

360 Chicago
The view from the top just got better, thanks to TILT at 360 Chicago, the city’s newest thrill attraction, conveniently located along the Magnificent Mile in the former John Hancock Observatory. 360’s 1,000-foot perch regularly treats guests to sweeping views of Lake Michigan, four neighboring states, and the Windy City’s dazzling downtown. Those wanting a new angle on the spectacular panorama can “TILT” outward a cool 30 degrees from the building for a vertigo-tripping free-faller’s view of the street below. If you’ve got the stomach for it after your TILT experience, lunch at the Café will take the edge off your appetite with a menu sure to appeal to everyone in your group.

Day
2

Millennium Park
Millennium Park, a 24-5 acre public space situated atop a parking garage on the world-renowned Loop District is Chicago's definitive modern showplace – a favorite destination and popular gathering spot for Chicagoans and visitors, alike. Cutting-edge art, stunning architecture, breathtaking landscape design, fantastic concerts and more share the spotlight in this park in the heart of the Windy City. Its standout features Jay Pritzker Pavilion, Cloudgate (a huge reflective sculpture nick named “The Bean”), Lurie Garden and Crown fountain are absolute must-sees on any Chicago agenda.

The Field Museum
Spend a few hours at the Field Museum without one minute of boredom as you peruse scores of permanent and temporary exhibits sprawled over nine acres of floor space. You’ll encounter “Sue”, the largest, most complete Tyrannosaurus rex fossil ever unearthed and explore an Ancient Egyptian Tomb where you’ll “meet” 23 actual mummies. An Underground Adventure gets you a bug’s-eye view of the world: you “shrink” to 1/100th of your actual size—smaller than a penny—and explore worm tunnels and soil chambers, where you’ll meet a giant mole cricket, crayfish, wolf spider, and other animatronic creatures; witness a ferocious mama earwig defending her babies and watch snail eggs hatch!

Shedd Aquarium
Conservation-minded Shedd Aquarium is a city treasure and the world’s largest indoor aquarium. Its Caribbean Coral Reef entertains spectators with divers feeding nurse sharks, barracudas, hawksbill sea turtles and others; in the Oceanarium, you’ll watch a crew of skilled trainers run dolphins through their repertoire of leaping dives, tail walking and other slick tricks. The Wild Reef-Sharks at Shedd experience brings you up close and personal to sharks and other predators as you bravely observe them through a floor to ceiling window!
