Day

Buffalo Museum of Science

The Buffalo Museum of Science has been in operation since 1929 and remains dedicated to the study and interpretation of the natural and physical sciences. Your group will have the opportunity to check out extensive collections of over 700,000 specimens and artifacts and attend special events throughout the year hosted by the museum. The group can also view exhibits such as Our Place in Space, Vertebrate Evolution, Seymour and Stanley, and Digging into Western New York’s Past which includes a rich array of fossils and artifacts, many of which were found at the museum’s archaeological dig site in Genesee County. The exhibit documents the changing fauna, flora, cultures, and environments of the Northeast over the past 13,500 years.

Buffalo Zoo

The third oldest zoo in our country, urban Buffalo Zoo is 23.5 acres of year-round conservation efforts, education for the masses, and unrivaled animal entertainment! This is a treasured retreat for rare inhabitants like the Siberian tiger and Asian elephant. Programs for student groups vary from sleepovers to camps and workshops. Featured creatures might be an Indian rhino, a spotted hyena, the poison dart frog, or even a crunchy Brazilian cockroach. Don’t miss the rainforest exhibit with the overhead viewing area, or the seasonal train! The impressive collection of animal residents and over 320 plant species draw around 400,000 thousand visitors a year to this zoo. Founded in 1875, the establishment boasts the title of “Second Largest Tourist Attraction in Western New York” after Niagara Falls.

Prospect Point Observation Tower

What better way to welcome your group to Niagara Falls than with a trip to the Prospect Point Observation Tower! Located within Prospect Point, this observation tower is an impressive 282 feet tall and extends dramatically over the Niagara Gorge. The tower was built in 1961 and is comprised of aluminum, glass, and steel, shaped in the form of a maltese cross. This 'architectural wonder' provides elevated and 'out front' views of the American Falls, as well as the not so distant cascades of the other 2 falls and raging waters below. To get to the top of the observation tower you must pay a small $1 fee to board the elevator, which also serves as access to the Maid of the Mist Boat Tour at the base.

Maid of the Mist Boat Tour

Adventurous groups on Northeastern holiday will not want to miss seeing the breathtaking landmark Falls and an ever-popular Maid of the Mist Tour get you and your travel buddies as “up close and personal” as you could ever hope to be! Throw on your blue keepsake poncho, tuck your phone and not-so-waterproof camera inside something waterproof, slip on your “water shoes” or flip on your flipflops and prepare for the most exhilarating, wet-and-wonderful ride of your life as you board the stately 74’ Maid of the Mist VI or the majestic 80’ Maid of the Mist VII, swing wide and away from the dock and Rainbow Bridge and shove out across the churning river toward the Falls!

Day
3

Aquarium of Niagara

Visitors can join animated Peruvian penguins, vocal harbor seals, intriguing tidal pool inhabitants, and even sharks for daily feeding sessions; sea lion encounters afford guests the opportunity to learn more about marine mammals through participation in wonderful interactive play sessions. The Aquarium is home to hundreds of fascinating tropical and freshwater residents including the dreaded and voracious piranha and the prehistoric-in-appearance sturgeon, a legendary fish that once thrived in the Great Lakes and Niagara River-and can live to be over 100 years old and come to weigh over 200 lbs! The “Fin-Esse” gift shop floats visitors the perfect opportunity to bring home that perfect marine memento.

Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls

End your group vacation with a relaxing shopping adventure at the Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls. Inside the center, you will find over 200 outlet stores and services. The single-level indoor outlet shopping experience is anchored by Saks Fifth Avenue OFF FIFTH, Forever 21, Nike Factory, and Marshalls. There are several more shopping favorites inside as well, such as Disney, Michael Kors, Adidas, Polo, and much more. You will certainly work up an appetite while shopping, so save plenty of time to sit down for a meal at such onsite options as Applebees or India Grill, or perhaps just grab a quick bite at Auntie Anne's or Starbucks.
