This center is open daily, rain or shine, and accepts groups of 20-500. Goodtime Lake Erie Island Cruises

Cruising with Goodtime Lake Erie Island Cruises is one of the best ways to see the bay and beyond while in Sandusky, this family owned and operated tour company providing the best local cruises for tourists and guests alike. The Sunset Bay Cruise is offered each Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday in season and departs at 7 pm, coming back at 9 pm. You can expect light entertainment while on board, as well as opportunities to buy pizza and drinks from the lower deck bar. The Daytime Island Hopping Cruise is the most popular choice, offered each day Tuesday through Saturday. This cruise is an all-day event and takes your group to Kelleys Island and Put-In-Bay. Joseph Lamb, your trusty captain, will narrate what you are seeing all along the way as you enjoy the views and warm summer breeze from the upper deck, or enjoy the climate-controlled snack and drink options from the lower deck. Lakeside Chautauqua

This historic lakeside community provides arts and culture, outdoor recreation, educational lectures and events, and spiritual opportunities within its confines, being both a popular vacation spot and popular place to live! Enjoy great shopping, dining, and special events all throughout the year. Shop at Heritage Hall, Artists N Cahoots, the Lakeside Farmers Market, Marilyns, or the Fine Print Bookstore, then go grab something tasty to eat at any of the local establishments, a few favorites being Lakeside Coffee and Cream, Sloopy's, the Patio, and Whistle Stop. During the summer there are special park events, festivals, family nights, movies, lectures, spiritual gatherings, and farmers market events!

Marblehead Lighthouse Tour

Known as 'one of Lake Erie's best known and most photographed landmarks', as well as one of the oldest lighthouses in continuous operation on the Great Lakes, the Marblehead Lighthouse and State Park is a MUST visit during your group's trip! First established here in 1822, this gorgeous and historic lighthouse sits on the rocky headland of the Marblehead Peninsula, atop stunning mounds of Columbus Limestone. While here your group will be able to take a lighthouse tour, visit the Lifesaving Station Museum and Keeper's House, and simply enjoy the scenic Sandusky Bay views! There are several picnic tables throughout the area that give the greatest views of the lake, Kelley's Island, and even South Bass Island. It will be very easy to see why this is the most photographed site in the state, and why 1 million visitors come to the park each year to see it for themselves!

Liberty Aviation Museum

This museum was first established in 1991 and has since then grown into a highly popular history-filled spot near Sandusky. While here your group will be able to see various civilian and military vehicles, WWII era watercraft and aircraft, eat at an authentic 1950's era diner and learn all about the importance transportation machinery had during the war. In Hangar One you will be able to visit Gallery One, filled with civilian aviation, and in Hangar Two you will see Motorpool Military Vehicle Collections and the Ford Tri-Motor Restorations. See the Vintage PT-728 vesper boat, the vintage WWII North American B-25 Mitchell Bomber, and the B-25 "Georgia's Gal", plus so much more.

Follett House Museum

Welcome to the Follett House Museum, the local library administered history collection housed within a National Historic Landmark, the Oran Follett Home. The home itself is quite a historic masterpiece, a 4 floor Greek Revival Mansion that features a widows walk with some of the best views of Sandusky and the surrounding area. What it holds inside, however, is even more of a historic masterpiece, with several documents and artifacts holding the history of Sandusky and Erie County over time. Within the collection, you will find historic textiles and a plethora of information regarding this area during the various wars, from the War of 1812 to WWII. Learn all about the Battle of Lake Erie, the Civil-War Era Johnsons Island Prison, and how the local economy has thrived through it all with fishing, ice harvesting, stone cutting, shipping, and tourism.

Cedar Point 

This amusement park is considered to be the 2nd oldest in the nation, opened in 1870 here on the Lake Erie Peninsula. Guests can enjoy the 18 exhilarating thrill rides, 2 water rides, and several other family-friendly attractions. Cedar Point also offers quality cuisine for you during your visit, as well. The park is a total of 365 acres, filled with several thrilling coasters for you to enjoy. One of the most popular thrill rides is known as Millennium Force. It is a ride that reaches an exhilarating speed of 93 MPH. The first hill of the ride features an elevator cable lift system that will get riders to the top faster and then there is an 80-degree drop that will start the coaster ride of your life. Another fun coaster is known as the Gemini. Guests will be in either a blue or red car and enjoy a thrilling race. Riders will experience twists, turns, airtime, and then a big finish at the end of the ride. You will reach a thrilling speed of 60 MPH. Cedar Point also includes a waterpark which is known as Soak City, when you need to cool off!
