We tell stories of people, places and neighborhoods in Baltimore

Learn all about the rich architecture and social heritage of the city of Baltimore with a Baltimore Heritage Tour while in Baltimore, an excellent way to really get to know the city and the great historic places it holds.

Baltimore Heritage is a nonprofit historic and architectural preservation organization founded in 1960 that offers public heritage tours and private group tours. In their own words, 'we ride bikes, climb scaffolding, and walk up and down hilly streets' as they show off Baltimore's most historic buildings, landmarks, and neighborhoods all across the city. They utilize volunteer tour guides for their tours, which include both bus tours and walking tours. Here are some, but definitely not all, of the tour options you will have;

  • Central Baltimore by Bus
  • Full-Day Baltimore by Bus
  • Baltimore and Civil Rights Heritage
  • Slavery and Emancipation in Mount Vernon
  • 1904 Fire and How it Shaped Downtown Baltimore
  • Federal Hill
  • Gargoyles Downtown
  • Historic Jonestown and Shot Tower
  • Much More!

These tours are the perfect way to explore Baltimore, discover hidden landmarks, and enjoy unique stories from over 200 years of local history and are available to professional meetings, academic groups, family reunions, and more.
