...see a glimpse of the diversity of life on Earth and throughout Minnesota, travel back in time to meet a woolly mammoth, and learn about University of Minnesota researchers imagining a better future. - Bell Museum

Welcome to the Bell Museum, formerly known as the James Ford Bell Museum of Natural History. Located on the University of Minnesota Saint Paul campus, this museum features diverse animal dioramas, exhibits, educational programs, and an onsite planetarium.

Bell Museum serves as the state's official natural history museum and planetarium. The Whitney and Elizabeth MacMillan digital planetarium features regular educational programs, the perfect experience for groups of students. The high tech exhibits throughout bring together science, art, and the environment and overall provide a world-class educational experience. While you are here you can explore the Minnesota Journeys Gallery, take part in hands-on labs like Climate Change Solutions: Geo-Engineering, and choose special field trip programs like the Biodiversity and Conservation: Birds program.

Be sure to save plenty of time to visit the wildlife dioramas, Pleistocene Minnesota exhibit, Diversity Wall, and Touch and See Lab before you go!
